Dr. James D. Parker


Education: Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Parker is a native of Marion, and a 1980 Marion High School graduate. He has degrees from Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. He lives in Marion with his wife Anne, son Gabe and daughter Bailey.

He is active in the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Cornerstone Church. His professional affiliations include the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and the Southern Illinois Veterinary Medical Association. His pets include a fox terrier, Prancer; a doberman, Zoey; and a cat, London. His interests include animals, camping, 4-wheeling, Mustangs, and politics. He and his wife also enjoy riding their Harley Trike, their couch on wheels.
